The Boxted Methodist Silver Band is a traditional brass band based in Boxted, Colchester.
With a strong attachment to Boxted Methodist Chapel, the Band has mixed membership of both church-goers and non church-goers who all enjoy meeting together to make music. You can view a summarised history of the Band here.
We meet weekly 7.30 - 9.30pm, on Wednesdays in the Schoolroom, Chapel Road, Boxted (nearest postcode - CO4 5RS) and rehearse a mixed program of brass band favourites, modern pieces and hymn tunes. The Band has a very active performance diary, details of which can be found on our calendar along with our rehearsal dates.
Our ages range from 17 years old to over 80, with length of service varying from new faces who have joined in the past couple of months to those who have been members for a lifetime.
