A brief history of the band:

The band in 1938
Originally a wind band formed by members of the village chapel in the 1860s, there has been a brass band playing to the honour and glory of God in Boxted since 1898. The present-day name dates from the late 1930s.

Note that both pictures are taken in front of the same chapel - the chapel in which the Band holds monthly services to this day!



Also, one person in the top picture still plays in the Band!
